How do I know the drone pilot doing the job is qualified to fly?
Our pilots are required by federal law to have their Part 107 certificate or Part 333 exemption. Pilots are required by law to carry this documentation with them during the job and anytime they fly for commercial purposes. Our pilots also go through a background check prior to being accepted as a member of the Airobird team.

I booked my flight but the weather is going to be bad that day, what do I do?
Airobird representative's monitor the weather conditions regularly. If your flight needs to be canceled due to inclement weather we will reschedule your shoot as soon as possible.
What is your cancellation policy? How do I cancel?
You must cancel up to 24 hours before your flight date in order for a full refund. Any cancellation made within the 24 hour time slot leading up to the flight will not be eligible for a refund. Cancellations can be made by contacting Airobird Customer Service at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What is a drone?
A drone is another word for a UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) or a UAS (Unmanned Aerial System). An unmanned vehicle or system, meaning without a human operator onboard. These devices are often small. This allows us to capture imagery and video from angles that were never before possible.
How long have drones been around?
Drones have been around since the 1800s. The first of its kind was an unmanned boat invented by Nikola Tesla. It used radio frequencies to change directions. This opened the door to other unmanned vehicles. Later on in 1918, two decades later. The "Kettering Aerial Torpedo" was created. This was a biplane with a range of 75 miles. Then in 1940 the US military purchased over 10,000 radio controlled drones to train soliders for World War ll. This was the begining in the history of drone technology and what they have become in todays world.
How big are drones?
Drones will vary in size. The smallest drone has a 2-inch radius while the largest drone has a wing span of 130 feet.
What can drones be used for?
Drones can be used for a number of different purposes. Aerial Photography, Surveying, Search/Rescue, Construction, Delivery, Agriculture and the list goes on. As technology advances people will find new uses for drone technology that will further help to improve our lives.
How high can you fly a drone?
Our pilots are only allowed to fly at a maximum height of 400ft. This is a federal law under the FAA. However, drones are capable of flying thousands of feet and with the appropriate waiver you can get permission from the FAA to let you fly in this airspace.
How long can a drone fly for?
This is a commonly asked question. Our drones can fly for 20-30 minutes depending on the type of drone and battery it uses.
